Every wonder what you could do with all that heat generated by your compost pile? Well, I’ve seen people do all kinds of creative things from heating hot tubs to small out buildings. Yet as a foodie with some food science experience, my wheels started turning when I encountered a market in the Bethlehem, Palestine where a vendor was selling hard cooked eggs out of a container of steaming hot chicken manure. Yes, I ate one. Then another. I repeated that experience in my own compost piles on my farm in Michigan. And that got me thinking that the temperature was also perfect for slow cooking meat. So my wheels kept turning and there you have it. Well, here you have it. Enjoy the video and let me know what you think.

Tim,
This was great! I will be showing it in my classes!
